ELIGIBILITY

Both full-time and part-time AMCN employees are eligible to participate in the AMCN Benefits Program.

Employees

Full-time employees

If you’re regularly scheduled to work at least 35 hours per week, you’re eligible for all benefits offered.

Part-time employees

If you’re regularly scheduled to work 20 hours or more per week, you’re eligible for all benefits except for Long-Term Disability (LTD).

If you’re regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours per week, you’re not eligible for benefits.

Dependents

If you’re benefits-eligible and enrolled in coverage, you may also enroll your eligible dependents, including:

  • Your spouse1 (if you’re not legally separated or divorced).
  • Your same- or opposite-sex domestic partner2.
  • Your children or your spouse’s/domestic partner’s children until they reach age 263.
  • Your disabled children or those of your spouse/domestic partner, regardless of age, who are dependent on either of you for support. Proof of disability is required.
  • Children placed with you or your spouse/domestic partner for adoption.

1 If your spouse also works for AMCN, both of you can enroll in your own employee coverage or one can elect to cover the other on their coverage. You can’t cover your spouse if they elected their own coverage through AMCN.

2 If your domestic partner is entitled to Medicare, Medicare must be elected and is the primary payer of services. If your domestic partner also works for AMCN, both of you can enroll in your own employee coverage or one can elect to cover the other on their coverage. You can’t cover your domestic partner if they elected their own coverage through AMCN.

3 Coverage lasts through the end of the month in which they turn 26.
